What is Roxo?

Roxo Agency is a full-service public relations and advertising agency operated by students within the Department of Strategic Communication at Texas Christian University. Since 2011, Roxo has supported over 100 businesses and nonprofits, including the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation, and has earned awards for its creative and innovative strategies. With more than 400 student participants—known as "Roxstars"—the agency provides hands-on experience across various communication disciplines, fostering a culture of "creativity for good" that emphasizes fresh, energetic solutions for clients.

What is my role?

As the Creative Director, I oversee all creative deliverables and work closely with the Account Executive to establish timelines and co-present projects. I lead a team of Copywriters, Graphic Designers, and a Social Media Manager, guiding them to interpret briefs and develop the "Big Idea" while ensuring our work aligns with the client’s vision and deadlines.

 

I set the standards for creative excellence and provide final approvals on client presentations. I encourage team feedback and constructive criticism to enhance our work, and I manage our workload through regular meetings to delegate tasks and monitor progress. My collaboration with the Account Executive fosters a strong work ethic and motivates our team to excel while supporting their professional growth. This role demands attention to detail and creative thinking, providing rewarding opportunities for learning and development.
